Salvation - What It Is

Realize That God Loves You
God loves you and has a plan for your life. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16

The Bible Says That All Men Are Sinners
Our sins have separated us from God. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

God made man in His own image. He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. We choose to sin. Our sins keep us from God.

God's Word Also Says That Sin Must Be Paid For
"For the wages of sin is death...." Romans 6:23

Wages means payment. The payment of our sin is death and hell, separation from God forever. If we continue in our sin, we shall die without Christ and be without God forever.

The Good News Is That Christ Paid For Our Sins
All of our sins were laid on Christ on the cross. He paid our sin debt for us. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, and He arose from the dead. He is alive forevermore. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Salvation Is A Gift To Every Person

"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" Romans 6:23

Salvation is eternal life.  It cannot be earned by our own merit, because we will never be good enough.  If we could get to Heaven ourselves, Jesus never would have had to die on the cross.  Jesus died to pay your debt so that He could give you salvation freely.  He is offering it to every person.

We Must Personally Pray And Receive Christ By Faith
The Bible says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

In order to receive this gift, all that you have to do is acknowledge that you are a sinner who deserves hell, repent of the sins in your life and past, and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sin and trust in Him alone for salvation and as your Savior.  Please do not refuse Him - receive the gift of eternal life from Jesus Christ today!

Pray And Receive Christ As Your Savior
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."  Romans 10:9

The prayer alone does not save you!  But, as a guide, here is an example if you are unsure of how to pray.  "Lord, I know that I am a sinner. If I died today, I would not go to heaven. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin.  I am willing to turn away from my sin.  Please forgive my sin, come into my life, and be my Savior. Help me live for you from this day forward. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Salvation is that simple!  There are no sacraments, steps, rites, or anything like that are needed in order to be saved.  The Bible says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
